This cup is marked as seconds. In the long process of making ceramics, sometimes items can have tiny flaws. They’re marked as seconds but are still perfectly functional like any other cup. This cup in particular has tiny black marks (from black clay) on one side (see photo).

The cups are made from a speckled beige, terra and white clay. They are decorated with inlays of yin yang shapes all around the cup. The cup is finished with a transparent glaze. The cups are entirely made by hand so each cup has his own unique shape and yin yang patterns. The cup is perfect to enjoy a big cup of tea or a smoothie!

The beauty of imperfection

The cups are entirely made by hand using handbuilding techniques, therefor small inconsistencies in shape and size can occur. They show they are made by hands. That is also the nature of my work, each piece is unique in its own way.

Care

The cups are food and dishwasher safe, however hand washing your ceramics is recommended as they like a delicate touch.
